I had played Scouse as a monk, as they at the time were the most powerful guild on the MUD (some things don't change on DT). I decided to take a different approach with Twinkle, who was originaly going to be a player for my RL girlfriend to use (hence the name and race). Twinkle was a human and joined the merc guild, since I found that at low levels, they were the easiest to play as they could wear any equip and wield any weapon. She also made a good tank for Scouse. By now I had made many friends on DT, people like my friend Julliete (Tas's RL girlfriend), Isz/Sef etc, Gil/Johnnyquest, Obnoxio, Slingshot and many more people whose names, sadly, I have forgotten over the passage of time. :( By level 12/13 I was bored of the mercs and decided a change was needed and I joined the thieves guild just as Priapus was taking them over.... looking at what he had done for the monks, I thought great things would be in store for the thieves. What a thief I made having human stats. I still don't know how I managed to join the thieves... I must have been a small human. By level 15 I was loaded and opened the first and only (I think still to this day) Printers Guild in Tweeple called TwinkPrint. By level 17/18, more UK players had started on DT, and soon I had a vast number of allies of various races and guilds and we made considerable groups going around DT. It was probably at about this point I became friends with Kaze. Over the last few months of my playing I got on very well with Kaze discussing Star Trek. By the time I reached L19, the Kislev quest had just been re-written and nobody had a solution, so I was on my own and I died the first time around, but still had enough exp for wizzing, which at the time was only 1M. I finished Kislev and wizzed, and about 2minutes later Kickaha raised the L20 exp to 1.5. I had made it just in time. As a wizard my friendship with Kaze grew and he helped me out with many problems I had both in writing my wizitem as well as general advice. Thanks, Kaze. For my wiztask I wrote a casino which is still used in Nepta now. I then assisted Kaze in the writing of Nepta, at which point I added the sewers. Priapus asked me to code a questmaster for the thieves, which I did. I then, up until my leaving 3 years ago, worked on an area called Mordor. Now that I am back, I am continuing with Mordor and am looking at a guild. There is one memory which I still remember from my playing days and that was stealing a check for 1.5M gc from a guild owner. It was just before a reboot, so he claimed to have lost it during the boot, but I told the wizard he didn't and that I had stolen it so he never got a refund. Back to Players Pictures
